Green Travel Day - A Great Success!

Thank you to everyone who came along to the green travel day last Wed. We had a good turn out from our own occupiers plus visitors from BT. Information from the attendees:

• New Bus Service - see leaflets in reception, posters and Parklife.
• Car Share - see Watford Commuter leaftets in reception and posters on noticeboards.
• Public transport - timetablesfor trains and buses can be found on the Intalink website www.intalink.org.uk
• Cycle to Work scheme - Cycleopedia displayed a range of new bicycles and provided details of how these can be bought at a good discount through the Cycle to Work scheme - www.cyclescheme.co.uk
• Electric bikes - attendees enjoyed the opportunity of test riding bikes from http://www.freegoelectricbikes.com
• Scooters - a selection of scooters were displayed by AVSCO to promote the huge savings from swopping 4 wheels for 2! See http://www.avsco.co.uk
• Community Police offered free security labelling for bicycles. They have offered to attend site again to provide advice to cyclists.
• Dacorum Cycle Training offered invaluable safety tips! http://www.dacorum-cycle-training.com

Scale Model Needs New Home

The model measures 1885mm x 1700mm and used to be displayed in the atrium of B5 before the Greenlite fit out. If anyone knows of an organisation that could make goood use of it could you please contact Anna Murkowski or Will Cole at B5 reception or email lphelpdesk@mepc.com

Greenlite Occupiers Coffee Morning

MEPC held the first coffee and networking meeting for their Greenlite occupiers in the Atrium Business Centre. Sanjay Purohit, from the Watford Chamber of Commerce came along as well as partners from Perry Holt property agents. Attendees also had the chance to chat with the owner of the café operation and generally compare experiences with their neighbours! Feedback was very positive and the meeting was considered a great success

Landscaping Goes Green

The new landscaping contractor at leavesden Park, Urban Planters, have helped to create a green recylcing compound so that all green waste can be gathered and taken off site to be processed into compost and chippings, which can be used on site.

Cafe now in 5 Hercules Way Atrium

The café has moved to its new location in the Atrium of 5 Hercules Way. Works are underway to expand and improve the cafe operation, so it is operating under challenging circumstances!

Gaby is doing a great job of maintaining the service with all of the existing drinks and products on offer ,as well as working lunches available on request. Works should be completed by the end of November.

Watch out for the re-launch date when new products will be added to the cafe menu!

MEPC are delighted to launch their first ever iPhone App today giving customers immediate access to current availability across the eight MEPC Business Estates.
